one of caleb’s and emmry’s favorite things to do is take a bath. that was what we were doing a few nights ago when caleb got me into stitches! i had just finished washing emmry and caleb was laying flat on his back, taking up most of the bathtub space, with his head emerged in the water. i began to let him know that it was his turn to be washed and he did not respond. thinking that he clearly didn’t hear me, i raised my voice a little louder and said it again. he still gave no response. i tapped him on his legs and let him know for the 3rd and final time that he now needed to be washed. he finally looked over at me with his eyes and with a big silly grin said, “no comprendo!” where does he come up with this stuff? i don’t know but it was a moment that really had me doubled over in laughter. geez i just LOVE my kids! laughing mama over and out!
