{Just Us Kings}

As most people now know, I have taken a full-time position with the Fellowship of Christian Athletes in Bloomington/Normal, IL as of October 1st.
We also just bought a house in Normal. hopefully we’ll close around the beginning of November. Timing will be tricky though, we have several things floating around the weekends end of October and beginning of November. We can’t wait to move in though. It’s a little ranch with finished basement space big enough for a family room/play room and Kristie’s business office. Oh, you hadn’t heard about JustSoSmitten.com? Check it out. Kristie has been hard at work filling orders and making gifts. She absolutely loves it and it gives her a creative outlet she has been missing.

I’m going to keep this updated on how we are doing and how God is using us in BloNo (yes, that’s the official term for Bloomington/Normal. You heard it here first). We’re still deciding on a church home and looking for ways to get plugged in. Kristie is already in a moms group and I just had lunch yesterday with some good friends that I hadn’t seen in probably 10 years. It was great to catch up and I’m looking forward to starting those relationships again.

it was a long drive back from Moline, IL yesterday.  i think we stopped 3 times, twice to feed Ansley and once for gas.  it felt like forever.  

we had a really good time this weekend though.  the hotel room was really nice and Caleb and Emmry loved the pool.  you could swim from inside to outside.  outside was cold.  Caleb and I did it a couple times.  

my talk went really well.  i feel that God gave me the right words for the occasion.  hopefully someone got something from it and seeds were planted.  i feel so blessed to still be able to use football as a platform to reach out to people.  

currently i’m sitting in the Stoney Creek Inn in Moline, IL.  i’m getting ready to speak before a Quad City Steamwheelers game.  they an arena team located here.  my good friend Geoff Pearson works with the FCA up here and asked if i would like to come.  i’m looking forward to it.

the game starts at 7 and i speak just before that.  the whole family is here and Caleb is really looking forward to seeing a football game.  he is loving sports right now.
