Wow… it’s been a few days since my last update. Since then several things have happened…
Caleb had a birthday, Emmry had a birthday, and I got a job! I started working with an energy efficiency management firm this month. It’s going well so far and I’m excited about affecting change in the stewardship of our resources. Any way, I’m going to try and be better about updating in 2009. I’m excited about what God is going to do in our lives over the next year and I want to share it as it happens.
last thursday, i was let go from my job. the housing market finally took me as a downsizing victim. so, i´ll have a little time off. some of you know that we had an offer accepted on a house and were about 3 weeks away from closing. we will not be closing that soon, but are going to hold off for a while to see if i can come up with some employment. most likely we will not get the house. unfortunately, that means we´ll lose any money we´ve put in so far. disappointing.
i have already had a phone interview with another company last friday and i sent my resume to them over the weekend. i have forwarded my resume on to a few other friends who will keep their eyes and ears open for me. i have found that the easiest way to find a new job is to see who you know and who they know, etc…
i´m wondering if there isn´t something i can do back in the IT field. i really do enjoy communication technology.
well, that´s it for now. we´ll keep you posted on what´s happening with the job search. God is in control and he has always taken care of us and provided for our needs. He loves us and we are grateful.
